 About the American Bison
The American Bison is the largest terrestrial mammal in North America. Bison can reach up to 2 metres in height,
3 metres long and weigh 900 to 2,000 lb. American Bison are commonly referred to as 'Buffalo.'
However, this is a misnomer. In fact, buffalo are distinctly different animals from bison. True 'buffalo' are
native only to Africa and Asia.
